Peace was one thing. Oblivion is another thing. And in this world, there has never been peace. Humans have not just realized that, nor have the vampires. The humans may not be aware of their existence, but that's because they disguise themselves as one of them. Vampires have lived under the noses of humans for many centuries, blending in with their way of life. Though, things get way more complex than that. A whole Empire lies within the realm of vampires, and at the top of the class are purebloods. As the Empire begins to slowly crumble with the spread of underclass vampires, and especially after the murder of the King, the Queen takes over as ruler, and the head of the Hardsworth name. With her father gone, Layla looses all form of a family, especially since her mother does nothing but ridicules her, and her brother idolizes the woman she hates most in life. She has no one to turn to it seems in this world, so why does she stay? As Layla continues to live out her life. She learns what the vampire world has in store for her. Is she willing to live up to the task? WARNING! This story contains some violent scenes, sexual descriptions, and strong language.
