Before the Cold War, assassins existed. They have existed since the time of the Ancient Greeks. However, maybe one of the most ruthless was Brutus, the one who betrayed his brother, the General Julius Caesar. Since then, there was a long list of brothers who betrayed brothers, sons who betrayed their fathers; mothers and daughters turned against each other; lovers forced against lovers. It was a terrible tragedy and an unfortunate truth. A truth that carried over into Russia through the form of the Red Ace, a phantom with a vendetta against America. Her relationship with those in America was severely severed. She served the Soviet Union with honor for over thirty-three years until her old lover entered her life. Her loyalties came into question but her skill kept her alive; it would have been better if she died. It would have been better for her not to suffer. Whenever she suffered, she became like a sharped sword: more deadly, fast, and heartless.
Through countless tortures: brainwashing, erasing memories and implanting new ones, hallucinogens, microchips, sensory deprivation, and whatever other torture they felt necessary to ensure their perfect sword didn't rust. By the end of the Cold War, the woman who worked for the Russians in World War II, was long dead. Except for her calling card, The Ace of Spades painted over with red. No one knows this story. No one knows what happened to her. No one knows about the Red Ace, only what's she's done. They don't know that her story has yet to be told.
