They thought they were safe.

They weren't.

It's been four whole years since what was once the amazing United States of America was plunged into utter chaos. The government was attacked and destroyed by it's own citizens when it became too unconstitutional and controlling, and the continent spiraled into a never-ending free-for-all. Every major city has three or four factions, each competing to be most feared, and everything else was destroyed.

With both parents gone, succumbed to the sickness that passed around a month after the bombing, fourteen-year-old Hana is forced to take her brother Tomas under her wing and care for him.

When he's ready, they must travel to the obliterated city that used to be Chicago like her father told her before he died, where Hana uncovers disturbing secrets about her past and faces the choice that not only affects her life, but those around her as well. Only she has the power to change the supposedly undeniable future.

This story isn't discontinued, I just don't have much time to write anymore. I update when I can, which isn't often. Sorry!
