From the moment we met, I knew things would be different. I've changed, yes, but so has everything else. With our greatest obstacle conquered, we had reason to believe that it was all over. It wasn't until another walked out of the shadows that we knew there were others after us.
She was after my body
He was after my heart
and They were after my crown
I know we can't stop it, but we can certainly try.
I just don't know if I'm strong enough.

There are worse things than death. ___ "What is wrong with you?" I seethed. She had my back against the wall, pinning me down so I couldn't move. She was much stronger than me, even when I used my strength to get out of her embrace. I held her gaze and I knew that she was gone. There wasn't an ounce of goodness left in her body. She laughed at my question. Of course, I knew what was wrong with her. But I have to find a way to get her back. "What is wrong with me? Ha, nothing sweetheart." she told me with a smile on her face. "I'm just having a little fun." "Yeah, and fun for you is killing innocents," I growled. "Oh, I hate to say this to you but they aren't all innocent." I finally broke free of her and I dropped her to the floor. I held her down with both arms while I was on top of her. All she did was give me a smile. An eerie smile that made a shiver run down my spine. "I should kill you for what you've done," I whispered. "I should make you pay." "Oh, but Sebastian, you won't," she said. "You know why? Because at the end of the day I'm still me, and you will never hurt me, will you?" I hated that she was right. I couldn't kill her. My mind told me that it would be the best to do it but my heart told me otherwise. I mentally cursed at myself for letting this happen to her. "Elora, I know you're still in there." I said. She was still on the ground, but she was not resisting which seemed odd. "She died a long time ago," she said finally. "Alongside her love for you." ___ Book Two in the "From Death to Life" Trilogy #13 in Bloodlust

I felt the bed dip as he sat down on the other side but I focused solely on my task until I was done. "This is a pillow barrier. Meaning, you don't breach this side of the pillows." I instructed, my voice firm. "What if I don't want anything between us?" Phoenix said in a husky voice, and I risked a glance. Bad choice. His eyes were dark and his gaze was on my lips, to my chest, then back to my lips. "Eyes up here, buddy." I snapped the third time his eyes went down to my chest. All he did was turn off the lights. When it was dark, he whispered," Can't I admire what is mine?" I had no answer, and turned on my side. He sighed. Despite taking two naps today, I was out cold the minute my head hit my pillow. I could only hope that in the morning, the pillow barrier was still there. ***** Adira has a secret, one she would do anything to protect. * Book Two! Go read Angel of Life before this story! Just go to my page and my works. You'll find it:) * I heard someone come into the room. Two pairs of footsteps had entered the room, meaning two people. I couldn't concentrate or gather enough strength to look to see who. The pain in my back turned excruciating. I screamed and gasped for air. I felt the flesh in my back stretching and ripping again. My bones weren't breaking but were growing out of my back. I bite back another sob but failed. My cries were getting softer, not as loud. This pain wasn't nothing like the pain I felt when I shifted. The pain was too intense and I was feeling overwhelmed. I gave in to the pain and let my self be pulled into the darkness.
