A prose re-telling of J.R.R. Tolkien's Lay of Leithian, this relates the full story of the love and labors of Beren and Luthien in the First Age of Middle-earth. This is aimed primarily at Tolkien fans who want the full story but who do not want to read the original Lay. I have tried to keep my own intrusions to the minimum necessary in order to keep the story moving, and I have also tried to capture both the style and spirit of the original Lay in prose form as much as possible. I have used other sources, most notably The History of Middle-earth book series, for where the Lay ends uncompleted.

This manuscript was originally completed in 1997, revised considerably in 2009, and is returning to the Internet in 2017 after an eight-year hiatus. It is my gift to Tolkien fandom. No infringement intended and implied (and all that), and I hope it remains both free and freely available to all from now on.

54 parts Complete

***Book III of the 'To Live Again' Series*** It is the year 3441 of the Second Age of Arda, it has been seven years since the Siege began on Barad-Dur, and now in the ruined ashes of the blood soaked plains of Mordor, the Alliance claim a narrow victory....but at what cost? Thranduil's legacy remains safely tucked away in the great eaves of Greenwood - his forest realm - that he has sacrificed all of himself to defend. His true mate, and bonded love, Clara, and his two beautiful children are left in a state of limbo, their futures entirely uncertain. But Clara, a Vivified immortal with a spirit that shines brightest into the darkest of places, will not let go of her husband so easily. Determined to resurrect the hope of a nation, and restore a broken warrior to a legendary ElvenKing - she fights in every way she knows how. It is all a waiting game now...waiting between worlds. ***WINNER of the Inkitt TOP TEN IN FANDOM AWARD 2015*** ***Note - I would strongly recommend reading previous books I & II of the series, to familiarise yourself with the legacy story arc*** Disclaimer: All recognisable characters names and places belong to the esteemed Professor JRR Tolkien.
