Rose never wanted to grow up to be a cleric. She wanted to live peacefully and cook good meals and have a family. Unfortunately, that's not what the universe wants. Rather, she finds herself trained as a cleric and kidnapped by dark elves. To make matters worse, she escaped with her handsome friend Peyton and a strong half-djinn man named Vinlithor. Now the dark elves are after all of them, and with every step comes another complication.
Peyton was changed into a vampire at a young age, and even after he managed to become human again, years of evil interest have tainted his clerical mind. The young Rose holds a blood sweeter than any he had ever known, and he is determined to drink it at least once. He gets close to Rose as they escape the Underdark, but she still is unaware of his secret and pushes him away. He's not worried about the dark elves hunting them down, but rather for the safety of his "prey"...
