This is a self-insert fanfic, meant to counter some of the stereotypes of them. It doesn't really work, but I hope you enjoy it anyway!
“Hello, and welcome to the Aperture Science Testing Facility.” A female says, sounding slightly robotic and- surprised. GLaDOS is never surprised. Frankly, though, I’m a bit off too. Who wouldn’t be after suddenly appearing in a Relaxation Chamber?
“What is your name?” she interrogates, sounding more human than she’s ever sounded before. Perhaps she’s still confused. I quickly discard my real name, Chell, and Minerva. After a few seconds, I respond.
“I am Artemis.”

Subject 3281; Chell's Story
Test. That was what she did, and Subject 3281 did it well. She was the model subject, fit, strong, on time, and most of all... obedient. That's how she was, until one fateful day, when the higher-ups at Aperture Science figured that they could get more out of their testing if two subjects were present, and so launched the "Aperture Science Co-operative Testing Initiative", pairing Subject 3281 with another Test subject. A boy. A boy who forced Subject 3281 to re-think her complacency, to yearn for freedom as they all did. To begin thinking like the girl she had been; instead of the person she had become. ~----------------------------------~ So, I was writing a short story one day, and realized that--with a bit of tweaking--this could turn into a Portal 2 fan-fic! While I do believe that Blue Sky is the BEST fan-fic for Portal 2 out there, and deserves to be canon, I think that this is still a relatively believable Chell backstory. (This is set after Cave Johnson's death, and before Caroline/GLaDOS killed everyone but the test subjects with neurotoxin, and placed Chell in stasis.) Enjoy! This is not a Chelley fan-fic, and doesn't include Wheatley, as this is set prior to the timeline of the first game. I don't own Portal, Portal 2, or the characters in the game; but this story is my own, from my imagination. I also don't own the amazing cover art, and I don't know who does... same goes for the chapter art, they're all either off of Google or Pinterest! 😂 P.S. the first chapter sort of "sets the scene" for the rest of the book, so bear with me!Kumpleto

They had all taken to looking her up themselves since it was just that easy. "Sounds like a plan, but we shouldn't go quite yet. We need to be careful, so the League doesn't catch on." Robin said, to which they all nodded in agreement. They all retreated back into the mountain and went to either the Zeta tubes or their rooms, depending on where they resided. They had begun hunting for Persephone Jackson without the permission of the Justice League. --- A female Percy Jackson and Young Justice story.
