A love triangle between Elijah, Klaus and Elena. 

Klaus and Elena are sworn enemies. He killed her Aunt Jenna, initially tried to kill her, in order to become a true hybrid. 

Elijah betrayed Elena as he was supposed to help her take down his brother, but instead he chooses to side with him leaving Elena and her family in pieces.

What happens when Mother Mikaelson invites Elena to a family ball, asking for her help to kill her children. What will she do? Since she is now, no longer girlfriend to any of the Salvatore brothers, she is free to make her own decision. Will she fall in love with Elijah or Klaus on her way to a new life? Will the Mikaelson brothers fight for Elena's love?
