Radiation has contagiously diseased the human race, producing revolting mutations mentally and physically. The human species has split into two groups: Vegetarians and Cannibals. Safe food is scarce... forcing many to turn to cannibalism for survival, and freshwater is almost non-existent. This action/thriller follows the story of a group of fifty sane survivors in Seattle who embark on a mission to find a new source of freshwater. After a terrific battle with the sea, only several of them land upon the West coast of the Australia and end up with worse than what they had. But after the leader's son, Benjamin, discovers and befriends a peculiar teenage girl and a middle-aged aboriginal man, the remnants of the group soon find that the human race may not be finished over after all...
