In 1913, Matt Jones was brutally murdered by a knife in the chest held in his girlfriend, Tiffany Westway's hand on Valentine's Day. As he passes into the afterlife, he must go back to earth and finish the unsolved business that he didn't solve in his lifetime. For Matt, its finding love. Pure, true love; the love he didn't have with Tiffany.
On his 97th year bound to Earth, he meets Amber Stone, who also has a secret. A secret she only trusted with her dad, who is now dead. She used to be popular, until the rumor swept through the school, spread by her former popular best friend Stephanie, which was close enough to the truth that almost everybody at school stays away from her.
In order for Matt to return to the afterlife, he has to bring his love with him. Matt has to kill her himself, and she has to willingly come with. Tiffany Westway committed murder two days after killing Matt. Now she is trying to kill his newly found true love, hurting him worse than murder; because after his 100th year bound to Earth, he disappears from existence.
