Different people are scared of different things. Trey was scared of not making varsity basketball so he could eventually go pro. Meg was scared that one time her father would never come home again. Dallas was scared of breaking a bone on the field and blowing a football scholarship that would be his only chance to get out. My dad was scared that one day it would be too late to get out of a burning house, because that meant he would have to leave us.
I was scared of three things, really:
1.	My dad leaving.
2.	Dallas leaving.
The scariest thing? Knowing that both of those were inevitable.

Johnny Leben already thinks his life has problems. Everything started going downhill the previous year when his mom was hospitalized, and now he has no idea what to expect. As sophomore year starts, all he hopes for is to get his head back into school and his heart back into basketball while trying to win over beautiful, smart Audrey Kennedy. He never guessed that this fall would be even more turbulent:
Where's Dallas when he isn't at practice and isn't at home? What's his boss hiding that he is so scared of? Why's it that no matter what he does, he just seems to make things worse for everyone?
The building blocks of his life are tumbling down, and he's not ready to face the bottom.

Bella Knowle is almost through her last year of high school. She's a straight A student, loves music, and has plans to go to school in the big city one day. While she's in school, her father is often running around the country, after all, he's Sean Knowle. He's running for congress. He has better things to do than stay home and worry about what his kids are doing. Justin grew up at the same school, only a few minutes from where Isabelle lives, graduating with her brother, the class of 2012, but they've never met. Not until she caught him in the parking lot screaming at poor jock Bradley Parker. Who was he? Where had he come from? Whoever he was, he made quite a first impression. Now Justin lived in Ward 7, the worst place to live in Washington D.C, doing illegal jobs to make a living after his father kicked him out. His parents didn't understand, how could they? They spent most of his early teenage years fighting every waking moment, leaving him and Jaxon to take care of their little baby sister. They didn't even know he left the house that night. He snuck away, finding himself stuck bloody in dark alley a few minutes later, only for Hunter to find him and help clean him up, hooking him up with his own employer, Manny, earning big bucks to do whatever was necessary to get the job done. What was the job? He didn't know, he wasn't allowed to know, not until it was done, and when it was done, you couldn't tell anyone. It was simple, if you broke the rules, they broke you. Once you're in there is no escape, you can't turn back. It was all down hill from that point... Until he met Bella of course.

Sienna Antoinette Harper had spent twelve years running from her past; now 28 she'd built up walls around her heart trying to keep people out and keep her heart hidden deep within. She'd even gone to court and changed her name legally. Somehow she had managed to straighten up her life enough to attend college and graduate at the top of her class in Accounting. And when her sister, who was also her best friend and works for Addison Technologies in Las Vegas, reaches out to Sienna letting her know that she'd secured an interview that would most certainly end up as a full time job. Little did Sienna know that her past and present would collide and perhaps endanger her future. Roan Michael Addison was a billionaire CEO of his own company Addison Technologies and owned one club on the Strip in Las Vegas. He was a workaholic and didn't have time for relationships. He never saw the same woman twice, he never treated them badly but they understood once they were with him that was it. Much to the chagrin of Roan's twin brother, Cade, who was totally different. He encouraged Roan to settle down but he just wasn't feeling it until she walked into the elevator at his company and then again at his club Leviathan one night and his feelings started to change rapidly. He didn't understand these feelings and tried to fight them. The harder he fought them the more he was pulled in especially when he found out that she not only worked at his company but was the best friend of his brother's fiance, Lisbeth. Would he be able to uncover what it was about her that pulled him in like a moth to a flame? Could he help her break down the walls she'd worked so desperately to construct? The names of the characters are purely fictional. The name of the company and nightclub are fictional as well. EDITING HAS BEGUN ON THIS STORY! PLEASE BE PATIENT AND I AM AWARE WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE! THANK YOU!

UNEDITED Not all storms come to disrupt your life, some come to clear your path. Those are the words that Justin McCallister has been repeating in his mind since the day he was diagnosed with a non-cancerous brain tumour that's been causing partial seizures for the past five years of his life. Partial seizures that can't seem to be controlled by every epileptic medication he takes. It's caused him to push everyone away. He refuses to become friends with anyone because he knows, from personal experience, that they're eventually going to leave him behind due to his circumstances. He knows that no matter where someone stands in your life, be it family members or friends, they will find a way to stab you in the back. And after experiencing the divorce and complicated situation his parents went through, he's determined to avoid girls because he believes love is foolish and volatile. Bring Adelaide "Addie" Levesque into the picture. She's a smart, beautiful girl that has a strong sense of direction, knows where she belongs, and wishes that she could have an epic love story like the one her parents share. But beneath her confidence, she's scared. She doesn't know what she wants to do after high school and it scares her. On top of that, none of the boys can't seem to understand her for who she is. Everything changes when they meet. Addie finds the situation to be painfully cliche, but she can't help but be curious about the new boy in her class. She wants to know why he keeps his hood up and earbuds in during lectures. Justin knows he should stay away from her, but there's something about her that begs for his attention. She's sweet and charming, but the problem is, he doesn't want to delve deep into his past with her. He doesn't want to reveal the ugly truth about who he is beneath the act. As Justin and Addie go through their final year of high school, the realize you never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.
