My story is far from perfect, much less cliche, as you humans call it. Sadly, I wasn't The Chosen One; destiny was too lazy to plan out a spectacular fate for me. I wasn't unknowingly some part of high royalty; I was my parent's child, flesh and bone, and they weren't exactly close to rich. I didn't find love at first sight, things like that couldn't be any more unrealistic. But human, don't seize to forget, this story follows me, and, while I may seem innocent, I'm a criminal and the villain to countless other people. Put simply, my life just wasn't the best; more like, it took the worst possible start-off anyone could've ever taken.
But one thing was for sure: I wasn't born to be a princess who helplessly awaits her Prince Charming. If fate was too busy planning our spectacular lives for Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and Luke Skywalker, I may as well carve my own path.
In a gigantic world where the wildest of a human's dreams come true, diversities of supernatural species compete with each other in order of survival and glory. This includes elves, trolls, and of course, humans. Knowingly or not, all specimen are always beating another to rise up to the top 10. In order for this, top rulers of each race must train and nurture the powers of their people to keep their species safe from extinction. One species, however, is closer to humans than any other: the Kythias. Living in the Alvadoire Empire, they look not much different from humans, but the insides were rather more peculiar. With less scientific and mathematical knowledge than humans, the Kythias make it up with the existence of Talents. Talents and bloodline were everything to a Kythia: with the "correct" ones, your future is determined immediately shining bright, safe, and prideful.
But what if you don't have one?
