I am thinking of using my current D&D campaign as a jumping off point. Perhaps I will write the back-story of my character: Birdie Chanteclaire, bard extraordinaire. ;)
A note: I am trying to write quickly, so I am using ELEPHANT for when I cannot think of the right word, just so I do not get stuck. It is an awesome NaNoWriMo technique!

Will is a slut. At least, according to everyone else she is. With a past that both defines her and won't let her go, Will has had enough of the name-calling and assumptions. She's decided to use it all as fuel to get what she wants: to take down Reid Reynolds. A product of NaNoWriMo. Evelyn Moore - daughter of the dreaded Ivy, must flee her past, her mother's lineage, and her village. Ivy was an admired healer, before the illness took over the village. The illness was incurable. Ivy and Evelyn struggled day and night, trying to rescue the sick. All who fall ill end up in a misty graveyard. They are driven to the woods and they build a small hut in the dense forest, barely living from day to day, but peacefully. That is, until the town's leader gathers enough men to track Ivy, and take her back to the village to be burned. Evelyn knows that she'll be next - being the only descendant of Ivy. She packs up her few belongings and gallops deeper and deeper into the woods until her eyelids fall, causing her to lose control of the horse, fall off of it and into a black abyss. When Evelyn wakes up, there are two midnight blue eyes staring back at her. Where is she? How did she get there? Why can't she remember anything? What is her name?
