A country driven into chaos and two young girls are stuck running for their lives. Addylin and Gwen Rouse are plunged into chaos as the government commits The Cleansing. They're forced to leave their mother behind as they go on a run for their lives. Their father was taken a few months before for something that seems so innocent to many but is deemed poison to the government, religion. Addylin is trusted with taking care of her younger sister and protecting her when she barely knows how to do that for herself. But their lives were changed and maybe even saved when they spot a boy in the woods.

Karsten Green is a normal boy who grew up in a town where religion is believed to be evil, but he never believed it. He thinks what the government is doing is awful, though he is too scared to stand up for what is right because he fears for his life if he does. His life is changed though when one day he meets two girls who are fighting for their lives. He takes the chance to help stand up for what he believes in by helping these two girls. Meet Karsten Green, a man who lives two different lives, a kind-hearted hero to Addylin and Gwen then a careless drunk farmer to everyone else.

These three will face many problems along their journey throughout life. Will they be safe together and live a happy life or will they be torn apart and fight once again? Find out in The Remaining.

Shannon will write in the point of view of Addylin

The Vipers - Book One ~ The Carter family held power that took years to gain. They were powerful, ruthless, and held no traits of mercy. Except for one. Easton Carter was the youngest of the Carters. And was far different to the reputation that the Carter name held. She was all things good. She was friendly, compassionate, sympathetic, and above all, far from a killer. And she vowed to live a normal life, no matter what her brothers get up to. Her normality consisted of being a soccer player and getting through the last two years of high school. But inside of her house, all of those things seem to disappear and she's forced to listen to what happens within the underground of the city. The Vipers are the most feared mob in the Los Angeles underground. They trick and attack their enemies without any mercy, but someone is targeting them. They need the help of the Carter hitmen. Kaleb Reed was raised to be a Viper. To be patient, and to strike when the enemy least expects it. His reputation is tainted with fear and viciousness, his skill unmatched. Kaleb has walls built higher than heaven, or hell, in Kaleb's case. It's solid and locked tighter than a prison, but the walls begin to shake and the ice begins to melt upon meeting the youngest Carter. Easton, in Kaleb's eyes, is no more than a naïve, young kid. Everything rainbows and puppies within her world. But he couldn't have been more wrong. Kaleb wants nothing to do with Easton, putting his sole focus on his job. But with one glance from Easton, Kaleb was hooked.
