Bell and the Beast

In another world; where beast is hidden from worlds of men and elfs. Arabella; an elf, posses the only ability left in her species. She is a healer. As the war ticks on, the beasts need more healers, as the men hunt down them. Only one thing, the leader of the beasts, the alpha of the wolves, is her mate.
""Shh." Arabella walks up palms facing the horse. She reaches the animal's shoulder first, petting with one hand and reaching for the reins with the other. The town square is silent watching the young girl with the large animal. Arabella gently pushes the soldier to the side, unclips the girth and rubs to sooth the horse's sternum. Than after untwisting, and tightening, she moves to the horse's head. Running her hand along it mane, than to its forehead.
A sudden emotion hits her, this horse is scared, doesn't like all the people around, and is to anxious to be ridden. She breathes and the horse takes a breath with her. She calms the horse the best she can, and turns to the stunned soldier. "
