15 year old Jovie Rivers moves with her aunt Sara to Ellsworth; a small, mysterious town in Maine. Jovie is thrown into a new life of friends, enimies, boys, and a strange key that seems to follow her around. She's also been met with strange dreams about a terrifying alternate world covered in ash. When peculiar things start happening around her new town, its up to her and her friends Liam, Mal, and Bianca to solve the hidden mysteries that are locked away from them.
