Chris wore bracelets. Lots of them. And when he didn't wear bracelets he kept his sleeves permanently down. That was a fact that everyone knew. His bracelets were just as common as the black jacket he donned every morning. Bands, quotes, beads, strings, rubber bands, just... bracelets. From his wrist to about half way up to his elbow. And no one questioned it, because no one really spoke to him. Chris had Casey and that was all he really needed.

But... that wasn't the case anymore. Now Casey had friends. And so by association, Chris had friends. Other friends. New friends. Friends who didn't know what to ask and what to avoid. So Chris really shouldn't have been surprised when the inevitable question came up.
