"Yeah," she said, putting her wand down and letting her hair fall into her face.
"I thought I convinced you to keep your hair out of your face," I said after awhile, sitting by her on the floor.
I gently pushed the hair out of her face. Other than when she's smiling, she tends to have a very blank expression which is impossible to read. She wore that expression now. I frowned. She wasn't even looking at me.
I wanted to see her (e/c) eyes light up with laughter, looking at me, not staring at the door, trying to start a fire with pure willpower-she does everything that she has doubts about with pure willpower.
