Here's a funny story for you: Two years ago, I took an AP European History class. After we had taken the end-of-year exam, and had nothing left to do in class for the remaining few weeks of the school year, we watched a movie called Flyboys. You can find info about it here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0454824/ Naturally, I was upset by the way it ended. I was also fifteen years old, which means I was unbearably stubborn and believed true love always conquered all. These two forces led to me spending half a dozen afternoons scowling and typing furiously as I tried to fix what had been ruined. Here is the alternate ending that I wrote for the film and took to my teacher, in hopes that it could lift my classmates' spirits just as writing it had lifted mine.
