The people of Alola are happy and prosperous under the protection of 'Team Reskull', but in the two years since Team Skull's disbandment, those who refused to watch their team die have had the chance to... regroup. Covertly, a Rebellion has developed to take back the Alola Region in the name of Team Skull...
