This story was originally written as a school English project as a sequel to Zora Neal Hurston's "Their Eyes Were Watching God". The character, Janie, is based off of the main character in the novel. The Doctor is based off of BBC's Doctor Who.

She was normal, completely normal. She had just got out of a dysfunctional relationship. Music in her ears. She's blinded by the light. Then he saves her, and her "oh so normal" life is thrown out the window, and replaced with one that has danger knocking on her door everyday.
