We all have that one day that we dread, whether it be the first day of school or meeting your partner's parents. But have anyone of you had to dread the invitational service? I think not.
-
The Invitational Service is a day when all teenagers in the town of Greyville are locked inside their own houses. They are to wait there for a day, not leaving their room or peeking through the windows or even turning on any sort of device. If any of these rules are broken they will be killed. Through that day five invitations are handed out, no one knows how they are or who delivers them, all they know is that one minute their bed is empty and the next a fancy envelope sits on it. Everyone dread getting an invitation, an invitation that will send you to an unexplored terrain.
-
There are four other towns like Greyville that have the invitational service, meaning that there are 25 people in the game. Each child will enter a room one by one based on their test scores, they will then choose an animal, one weapon and three more things of their choice. From there they are cast out into the new terrain and have to be ready to survive. They must cross the finish line first and kill at least one other competitor to be eligible to cross the line.

I am one of those unlucky 25
