Cinder was thrilled to have the whole house to herself when the stepsisters and stepmother were to be attending the royal ball - for she could finally catch up with her favourite TV show. But when her godmother forces her to 'socialize' and makes her go to the ball, she catches the prince's eyes. In an era where literacy was considered useless and the literate were ridiculed, just imagine Cinder's surprise when the prince quotes her favourite novel. There are no glass slippers or pretty dresses in this story, but there is a prince, a girl, and a novel. COMPLETED.

"Blonde hair. Blue dress. Glass slippers. Sound familiar? Cinderella. The most famous princess around. Everyone knows the story about how she was treated horribly by her stepmother and stepsisters, and one day her fairy godmother changed everything." "Ella's story ends when she gets married to Prince Kit Charming and lives happily ever after, but that is where my story begins."
