Katniss everdeen's best friend is called Peeta Mellark. They were best friends since the age of five. Over this time Katniss has gotten feeling for Peeta but knows he does not feel the same, so she keeps quiet.
On the first day back of school Peeta bumps into the new girl. Who he develops feelings for and slowly starts to leave Katniss and their friendship. Katniss does not want Peeta to leave her and all she can think is "peeta, Don't forget me"
