Sixty orbits have passed since the faeries lost the Great War against the mortals and were pushed to the brink of extinction. Orbits pass without incident, slackening their resolve to keep the girl their best-kept secret. When Mat introduces her to an old friend with his own dangerous secret, he threatens all they hold dear. The world's suddenly at their door, and it quickly becomes clear that Snow's meant for greater things.
