After a most gruesome murder, the town of Dorley is in need of answers and a way to catch the killer. The officials of the town decide to hire the best--and only--detectives of the area; siblings Ty and Edith Maddox. With just their skills, cunning, wits, the small resources and equipment provided by the town, and the help of an unseen ally, the pair set off in an attempt to catch the thing terrorizing their tiny little Dorley.
