"Trust no one."

Clara lives in a world where almost everyone has superpowers. Some use theirs for the greater good and others use it for their own greed. Most prefer to watch the action from the side. She wants to keep her head down, support her Mum and get on with her life without drawing any unnecessary attention to herself. 

But she has a dangerous secret that could ruin her peace... and the entire city. And in a place like this, there's betrayal and lies. 

It's only when the most evil super villain in the city figures it out, where she is suddenly forced to make hard decisions that will put both her, and everyone that she loves, at risk.

Meanwhile, Vinicus Cauldwell enjoys the power he has as Murkbourne's most feared super-villain. For once, he can sit back and relax without being pestered by the police. That is, until Max arrives. Vinicus isn't happy about having to fight a child, but he can't let Max find out. After all, super-villains can't be "good people"... Can they? We can't all be born heroes. They learnt from a young age no one that means NO ONE can know about their powers even their parents and other siblings. It brings out the true friends and those who just want to use you. In the end, what do you do when your closest friend betrays you? This is the story as they try to keep their biggest darkest secret of what they are capable of and as they discover they're not the only ones like them... I am not very good at trigger warnings before individual chapters but there is mention of blood, cold abuse and parents divorcing. (But read at your own risk in case I mention something else. I am working on rewriting this story and when I do there will be the trigger warnings in the correct places.) (small teaser.) No one sees me. I am a ghost. I brush against the wooden fence. No one will believe it was me who disappeared into a fence and appeared on the other side of school. I stare at my brother. He made eye contact with me, confirming my suspicions. We both saw it.
