Amber Sylvestia Brooks, a girl who's suffering from depression, had multiple suicide attempts. She was abused every single day, by her mom. Her dad wasn't there anymore, to hug her in his arms, and make her feel safe. She cuts. For her, it's to 'Take the pain away'. She always looks down, never looks up. The only person that can cheer her up is her best friend named Mary. They've been friends since they were kids. She then met this guy, he has very beautiful, ocean blue eyes, that can pierce through your soul, and make you melt whenever you stare at them. His name is Cole Robert Brock, also known as Colby Brock. A famous YouTuber, who is inspirational, and can plant smiles on different people's faces. She loved him from the first moment she laid eyes on him. She knew that he would be the perfect one for her. Colby, managed to lift her chin up, and look up the stars, yet she keeps her feet on the ground. He had managed to keep a smile on her face, a laugh when she's happy, and positive thoughts within her. She always felt safe, and comfortable, around him. He had managed to fight, and eliminate all her sadness, within her.

When it wasn't his home life giving him anxiety, it was life in general. He grew up in an abusive, unstable household and had learned to walk on eggshells around everyone he met. This was why he only had one friend, Patton, who he could really confide in. Virgil was as angry as he was anxious about life, and both sides of him could get extreme. Unhealthily extreme. Roman had a complicated mind, and his thoughts were much louder than normal. If there were one word to sum him up, it'd be 'confused.' I always thought I was safe, you know? I mean, it wasn't really something I thought about before. It's not like I had a reason to worry about being particularly unsafe. I've always been perfectly normal anyways. Nothing exciting or dangerous happened to me. I was a plain Jane in every sense of the phrase, and nothing strange or particularly astonishing ever happens to people like me. My entire philosophy, however, was completely and drastically changed after being attacked and raped one night. I probably would have been killed if it weren't for Drake Collins, the closed off "tough guy" of my school. He came to my rescue, and reluctantly swore not to breathe a word to anyone. Unfortunately, my attacker escaped. It was after that, that I closed myself off from the few people that I did talk to before. My safety, my very sense of security, was violated.
