"you don't get it do you, i'm not pushing you away because i think you will break my heart... i'm pushing you away because i know that if you keep trying to see over the wall, i'm probably going to build my wall of thorns higher up and hurt you"

Cerese Cotton is someone everyone knew and everyone spoke to, she was the proverbial nice girl... everyone's first choice when they needed a shoulder to cry on. She listened to everyone's stories, knew all their secrets and knew all their problems but when it came down to it... nobody knew anything about her. Not that they realised that and not that she cared, she liked nobody knowing anything about her and she liked that nobody cared because she knew that even if they asked she could never let anyone in.

Introducing Jim carter, just a boy .... a nice boy .... a nice boy that Cerese seemingly cannot seem to push away. he appeared seemingly everywhere in her life, and when he was not physically present he occupied all her mind space. But it wasn't him being infuriatingly good looking or incredibly nice or perfect in every way that infuriated her, no! it was his increasing insistence on getting to know her that made her absolutely furious.

p.s. This isn't a good girl bad boy story or anything its just a story about a girl and a boy.
