Paper Thin Smile

From the age of three, Alyssa Merrick has been abused. Smacked, punched, kicked, spit on and insulted. The only thing that's kept her going has been her heroes, My Chemical Romance members Gerard and Mikey Way, Frank Iero, Ray Toro, and Bob Bryar. From the time she was only eleven, they've been her heroes, her motivators, her saviors. In 2006, Alyssa turned sixteen. Upon being given the oh-so-loveley gift of a fist to the jaw for her "sweet" sixteenth, her mind was made up. She was done with it. She wanted out. Not, however, by the means of suicide. She was running away. Away from her abusive parents and schoolmates, and far, far, far away from Mapleton, Oregon. But when she finds herself being taken under the wings of the My Chem boys when they find her alone and cold outside of a venue they'd just played in Utah, what happens?
