General Egon, supreme commander of the Rakeian military forces, wakes up one day to find himself and his home under siege. He is forced to flee, and is chased halfway around the world by an ancient enemy, with strength only seen once before, in the war of the gods. He eventually arrives at the Xento Isles, a secluded area where magic is strong and even the enemy cannot infiltrate. From there he carves a new empire, raising an army and a kingdom before joining the rest of the world for the final war, the war to finish what the gods started all those years ago.
