Cassie Asher is privileged socially, but for the wrong reasons. She's sarcastic, cynical, bitchy, and honestly couldn't care less about most of the human population, but is insanely gorgeous and intelligent, which lets her get away with next to anything. Luke Hemmings has the same situation going for him, other than the fact that Cassie denies all advances other than her boyfriend, Kieran's, and Luke gets into at least four girls' pants each week. Every girl in school has her eyes on Luke except for Cassie, and every guy in school has their eyes on Cassie. Strangely enough, though he doesn't quite understand it yet, Luke is included. His cocky strategies prove ineffective on Cassie, receiving eye rolls, scoffs, and glares of disgust in return. Will Luke risk sacrificing his image for the love, or even just friendship, of some hot girl he's barely spoken to until now, or just keep about his ways of screwing everyone else and throwing them out?
