Avangeline Thantos is normal in all ways except one. She has a gift that allows her to see the souls of the deceased and interact with them. But sometimes a gift can seem more like a curse. She is constantly sought out by spirits and some of these encounters aren't pleasant. What happens when she meets a man that isn't dead but only she can see? What will she do when she finds out he is the god of the underworld?

Pandeia, the daughter of Selene and Zeus, lived happily in her mothers realm. She was loved by all, even Ares, who didn't like anyone at all. She was kind as she was fierce and had knowledge beyond her years, but no one could ever tell her about the place that interested her the most; the underworld. So when Persephone and Hades's wedding was announced, she was excited to finally visit the underworld. Little did she know what the events would lead to. Hades, the gloomy god of the underworld who seeked no wife, was finally forced into a marriage he didn't want nor needed. "ʜᴇ ᴡᴏɴ'ᴛ ʙʀᴇᴀᴋ ᴍᴇ. ʜᴇ ᴡɪʟʟ ɴᴇᴠᴇʀ ʙʀᴇᴀᴋ ᴍᴇ." ― ɪʀɪs ᴀɴɴ ʜᴜɴᴛᴇʀ, ᴛʀᴀɢɪᴄ ʙᴇᴀᴜᴛʏ (Name) lives a rather simple life- with loving parents, a caring boyfriend, and a bright future ahead of them as they near their final days of high school, everything seems to be perfect. Too perfect. On their way home from school, (Name) comes face to face with the gruesome scene of a murder taking place and on impulse, they snap a photo of the incident. One photo turns into a death sentence when (Name) has to deal with an angry Mafia leader who isn't fond of those who stick their noses where it doesn't belong.

The Gods live among themselves in a separate realm from the land of the mortals. Keeping the balance maintained was their only job, as the hierarchy of power, though few knew who they actually were. With the disappearance of Life, a great power vacuum had been opened, and Death was the main target, holding the great power surge. Life had chosen a successor beforehand, however, she had chosen only the most dangerous of beings. A human. Now with the Gods on Death's tail, he must protect this human from both her own society and her society-to-be, as he await fro Life's powers to awaken gradually. He cannot under any circumstances let them burst, or the human will be killed, along with Life's power and the balance. But most importantly, Death cannot get attached, or she will be killed for sure.
