Mankind has succeeded in creating human clones. The topic of cloning had been a controversial subject for decades, but when the human race began to succumb to the Ignōtus Virus, scientists deemed the experiments necessary. Too much of the population was dying and ten years after the Ignōtus Virus' first appearance, 13% of the Earth's population had been wiped out. With the death toll rising by day, mankind's survival never felt so threatened.
