An eponymous being is haunting the town of Derry, Maine. The small children are mysteriously disappearing. The townspeople are filled with fear but become careful of their children as they have set a seven o'clock curfew. Harlow Everett is the new girl who moved from Lafayette, Louisiana to Derry, Maine to live with her Aunt after the tragic death of her parents before the children started going missing. The death of Daniel and Cloe Everett crushed the girl completely. Her therapy dog, Sumo, helps her along her way around Derry as they face the troubles and terrors of the Bowers Gang and Gretta Keene with her friends. She feared being the next kid to go missing.
