[Death Note AU] Light Yagami was never destined to be normal, male or female. Light finally meets her match L, a genius detective determined to catch her. And Near, L's main rival, whose goal is to beat him. Just when Light begins to think that things are getting interesting, she finds out that Mello, her foreign-looking classmate, has strange past connections with L and Near. It's not easy to keep out of their clutches, but Light will do anything to keep the Death Note.

High school is when it happened. Criminals start to die, and I start to be more careful of what I'm doing. But we all knew about the one who kills them all... Kira.... I don't believe the fact that he's a god like everyone says... What's more weird, other than Kira, is the fact that the top student in school, Light Yagami, wants to befriend me. College life is the next step in my life. After college I want to join the police force, work under cases and such. Kira is still going around, killing people, now starting to kill innocent people. He seems to trust me enough to tell me that he's L. But there are a few things stuck in my head... Why did he offer me to help him? Why does he want me to help at all? Why does he want me by his side? Why does he want me to choose a letter as a name? Especially for broadcasting? L.... You care about me... Don't you? Or... Are you just trying to make me feel welcome..? This was originally going to have a character but then I decided to make it and L x Reader story.
