**Currently editing!** At birth I was given a necklace. Nobody knew exactly how the necklace came to me; the stories by my family members varied from seemingly possible to completely outrageous. The only story I could truly believe is my grandfather's: "He was wearing a black ski mask, like the one thieves wear, and simply hung it on the door handle as he sprinted by, without so much as a glance back." Attached was a note: To whomever received the necklace, It's caused me too much trouble. You'll find out soon enough. After years of nothing weird from the necklace, I could've trashed it. But the warm aura about the pendant, and its mesmerizing colors as vibrant as the fiery sun were difficult to ignore. I had always wondered if there was something special to it. This was when I found out.

BOOK TWO IN THE NOX HAVEN SERIES: When you look in the mirror what do you see? Does your reflection look exactly like you or does it mirror the person you truly are. I can hardly look in the mirror anymore, the boy I loved is dead, and the one I saved cannot be trusted. With a heavy heart I try to wear my armor proudly, now is not the time to worry. Now, as a sixteen year old girl, I must prepare myself for war. I only hope they don't have me leading the troops because every time I try to make things better they become worse. In a time of chaos I must learn who I can really trust. Who will love you? Who will die for you? And who will betray you? I never expected to find any of those things out when I attended my sophomore year at Nox Haven.
