Casey is a teenage Californian loner girl. Spike becomes the ultimate companion as she uncovers an unscrupulous underground world of threatened Shape-shifters, an incredible ecosystem of creatures once deemed myth, and winds her way through intricate layers of the corrupted Magical Fold. The more she learns, the closer she comes to a murderous warlock who is quietly calculating her every move.
