She looks up at me with tired, blue eyes, and whispers, "Camelopardalis." Her voice is quiet, almost fragile, the way you get when you've crying for hours. I don't ask why she was upset last night, why she came to my house crying in the middle of the night. "Camelo-what?" I repeat, raising an eyebrow. She lifts her head from my chest, nodding slightly. "It's a constellation," she says softly, "also known as the giraffe." A faint smile touches her lips, and she laughs quietly. That laugh-soft and genuine. "Will you show me one day?" Book One of the Unorthodox Duology Random Person P.O.V It's raining. It heavily falls but the showers doesn't chase anyone inside. Instead, people look up in awe. Yes, it's raining, but it is not water that sprinkles the sidewalk. Or slides down the glass windows of cars and buildings. It is something else. Umbrellas. Small, colourful umbrellas of different patterns, float aimlessly in the air. With a sight like this, many people stop whatever they were doing to look up, ignoring the fact that the toothpick handle of an umbrella might cost them an eye. "Bailey?" I look down at my sister, Megan, who holds one of the cocktail umbrellas in her hands. She gestures for me to look inside. What I see leaves me dumbstruck. Yet curious. Today's forecast is cloudy with a 10 minute shower of UMBRELLAS!! Ever seen anything like this? - Ad Infinitum U.N.O ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Four teens. One rebellion. And a hope to change the world to one where everyone can be themselves by the method of unusual antics. One policewoman. One promotion. And a hope of final justice by law. Against each other , who really is right? ...And let's not forget the Gypsies.
