. I opened the car door a rush of nervousness rushed over me. A senior that nobody knew much about and I knew little about, offered to take me home when my mother couldn't due to her night shift at the hospital. Over hearing me in english while I was talking to Julie.
"How was your night?"
"It was rough orders here and there." I pulled out the tips that filled my pocket in emphasis.
"Looks like it was." he said reaching for the radio
I stared at the cross that hung from his mirror.
"Church?"
He looked at the necklace for a long while as if wondering if he should answer or not.He closed his eyes for a second, slightly laughing ,catching the dangling necklace in his hand quickly letting go.
