Sharlene Moore is a normal high school student who lives in the small town of Beacon Hills. 
During her sophomore year of high school, her and her best friends Scott McCall and Stiles Stillinski find out that that's there is much more to their small town. 

When Scott is attacked by a wolf one night and the mysterious Derek Hale takes a strange liking to the young teen, Sharlene and Stiles must work together to help Scott learn how to deal with the fact that he's now a werewolf. All the while Sharlene must learn how to deal with the fact that she is developing strange feelings for one of her best friends and even stranger abilities.
