Ed Mercer and his crew of The Orville go to the planet Kaptos as the leader, Thidro, wants the planet join the Union based on the Krill threat. It was a mission of peace. But while they are there, Ed finds himself draw to one of the leader's slaves, La'ra. This cause problems with the races and Ed has to get his team away before they find themselves in bigger trouble. But he also wants to rescue La'ra from her shackles. Can Ed and his crew get away with La'ra or will the crew find themselves in hot water.
