Penumbra ⤏ Stranger Things

Erin and Katheryn Byers would have never thought that anything unusual would happen in their hometown of Hawkins, Indiana. Yet, their entire life was turned upside down in 1983 when their youngest cousin, Will Byers, disappeared and was declared dead. With the help of family and friends (and an X-Men-like individual), the siblings uncovered secrets that hadn't been meant for them. Another dimension existed, filled with deadly monsters that were starved for human flesh. But, hey, Will was alive and home. And now, a year later, things seemed to be getting better, or at least back to a semblance of normal for the sisters.

That is... If Erin watching on the sidelines as her cousin, Jonathan, forms a relationship with Nancy Wheeler; Steve "The Hair" Harrington pretending he was now friends with Erin; and Katheryn developing her first crush on the new boy at school was normal, then maybe things weren't better. Perhaps these were the first things to set the downward spiral in motion for their family again. That shouldn't even be a debate; of course, that's the case.
