In which two ex-step-siblings reconnect after just about blowing up their family the first time around... Three years ago, Maddie fell hard for Jacob Isaacs, the smartest boy in her school. The only problem was this: Her dad had quite literally gotten engaged to his mother. The two tried to dampen the flames of their burgeoning attraction for each other but not before they got caught and were the talk of the town for months. After the fall out, Maddie moved away to try and start her life over and not be known as the girl who got caught doing it with her 'brother' at prom. She hasn't seen her family in ages and intends to keep things that way. Jacob, on the other hand, has worked hard to accomplish everything he's ever dreamed of. He's stayed close to home, done exceptionally well at school, and is adored by just about everyone who meets him. There's only one problem: There's a Maddie-shaped hole where his heart used to be. But no matter how hard he tries to reach out and find her, he can't. She won't let him. He let her down and gave up on them when she needed him most. And she's not ready to forgive and forget. But then Maddie's dad passes and she's forced to come home for his funeral. It should be a quick visit. She intends to make it one. But Jacob has other plans. He let his girl slip through his fingers once and he won't let that happen again. So now he has to convince her to give him one more chance. After all, they're not related to each other anymore.

I'm not here to write a romance with a happy ending, I'm writing to prove life isn't always perfect, in most cases it never is, especially when it comes to love. This is to prove that no matter how hard life gets, don't give up, don't push people away, stand up and show whoever or what ever it is that you aren't going to let them or it hinder who you are. Life is precious and we need to live it as we want to be, not as other people want us to be. Jane has been an outcast her entire life, she was orphaned at a young age and grew up without a family. When she turned 11, the Mavery's adopted her, for the past 6 years of her life she's been stuck living in their attic. They don't treat her like part of the family. Her stuck up step-mother Ana only ever points out her flaws, and Neal her step-father doesn't stop her. You'd think that would be enough to drive anyone over the edge, but now add the little 'brats' that torment her constantly. Cortlyn and Oscar. Cortlyn has always been jealous of Jane and her friendship with Adam, the boy next door. Oscar actually likes having another sister, but he always sides with his twin, he'd never admit to it. And Adam? He loves Jane, like loves, loves Jane, but of course she's completely clueless, after all it is her best friend...her only friend. But the real trouble starts when Jane finally stands up for her self, what's this crazy family going to do to her next? Like I said before life isn't perfect, you never know what's going to be thrown your way, neither does Jane.

"I try so hard to be just friends but you sure don't make it easy." He averts his gaze from mine, and I wish he'd just look me in the face. "I don't make anything easy." I cup his face with my hands and turn it towards me, looking straight into his eyes. I realize the compromising position we're in, me sitting on the counter with him in between my legs, our faces mere inches apart. I want to close the gap. So I do. Our lips crash together with an urgency. I move my hands from his face to his hair, running my fingers through it. He bites my lower lip slightly, pulling at it and I let out a moan. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Livia Hart, a 17 year old girl, has lived a-so far-happy life. She passes her classes, has 3 best friends who she loves, a twin who is practically her other half, and a dad who supports her no matter what. She has some issues that she likes to keep on the down low but other than that, she lives a good life. Until Ashton Rivera walks in. They meet at an art gallery, and ever since her life has been a roller coaster. It seems like their personalities would clash, but against all odds they somehow work together. Discovering parts of themselves that they themselves didn't know were there, Ashton and Livia become-just-friends. At least for now... T/W: Rape, eating disorders, violence. As well as putting them here, when mentioned in the story I will put a trigger warning. Some mature content (not graphic but still mentioned a lot and a part of the story), swearing, alcohol, drugs This is completely from my imagination and please don't copy.
