Katharina Nadezhda Daniela Rurikovich - or Katie, as people call her- was an ordinary girl having an ordinary day on her way to school, when something not so ordinary happens to her, she gets kidnapped by people who want information about a deep family secret hidden long ago in the past.
The only problem is, she doesn't know anything about her families past, but the kidnappers don't care, and they'll stop at nothing to get it. Scared, alone, and miserable, she doesn't think she'll ever get out, well, not alive at least, but then she makes a friends in the most unlikely of places, and she might just have a fighting chance to escape after all.
Secrets are reveals, and lies are told, but will Katie live long enough to figure out what it is that her captures want? And how can she trust this new ally of hers to enough to know that they're a friend and not an enemy who will double cross her?
