The small, seaside town of Pax Valley holds a secret. Acelynn Barlow has the perfect life working as a hairdresser in the city and a loving boyfriend, Jack Thornton. However, when she finds a tattered book in her cellar, she begins to realise that things are not quite as they seem in the Barlow family. A realistic dream leaves Acelynn with some startling questions about her past, and she sets off to Pax Valley to find some answers. At first the people of Pax Valley are quiet and remarkable. She is intrigued by the curious Mechanic, Luke Russell. However, after he introduces her to Cocaine, Acelynn finds herself drawn to him.
