25 years after the events of the Mortal Kombat tournament, a new threat arises. The fallen Elder god, Shinnok wants to reclaim his power and control Earthrealm. As the realm's protector, Raiden must reunite with allies whether they are willing or not. People once believed to be dead have returned and plenty of them want revenge.
