Memories Betray Trust (Revised)

A young girl named Athena finds her life extremely difficult after something tragic happens to her kind. Even though she works at the fanciest hotel in town, she still doesn't make quite enough duros to put food on the table for her little brother. Life has been hard, but when a familiar man comes into town, she begins to remember some unpleasant things. After being kidnapped and somehow escaping the clutches of a supposed "necessary" evil, she finds her brother gone and presumably alone. She has to find him, but setting out on such a quest could promote some fearful memories... and people. She meets new people everywhere she looks: the question is, which one is her friend, and which one is her enemy? Can an old friend try to kill you, but a total stranger save your life? Or is there simply no one to trust? With all of her memories bubbling to the surface, they certainly seem to be betraying the very definition of trust...
