The Dark Crystal
In a world, a long, long time ago, lived a crystal. The lands flourished and bloomed until the crystal cracked, the shard lost to time. There came two races with the crystal cracked, the Skeksis and the Mystics. With both races dying, only one could save them. His name was Keith, the last known living Gelfling. He was the chosen one. And he has no clue. NOTE: This takes place in the Dark Crystal universe but still has my own twists to it. I'm basing this story solely off the movie and my own imagination. A few tidbits of knowledge that would make this story make a lil more since are: -This one-shot is only based off the movie, not the comics nor the upcoming (as of 2019) show. -All of the species named here (Gelfling, Skeksis, Mystics, Podlings) are all more humanoid than what is canon in the Dark Crystal movie but you can still image them as you wish. -The Skeksis are the Galra. (The Mystics AREN'T the Alteans though.) Image the Skeksis as more Galra-like or more Skeksis-like, do what fits your imagination. DISCLAIMER: I do not own any of the Dark Crystal (nor do I own Voltron), which includes the cover art and many aspects of the story, nor do I own any characters used in this story. "S-Stay, p-please," Keith mumbled, hiding his face in his pillow. Lance nodded climbing beside the small boy. Keith turned to face him, his face flushed as he looked at Lance, "T-Thanks." "For what?" Lance whispered, his breath close enough for Keith to touch. "B-Being by my side," Keith moved closer to Lance, closing the small distance between them, "I-I thought y-you'd all hate me." "Why would you think that?" "Ha," Keith let out a bitter laugh, "I'm half Galra. I share half of my DNA with a race who has killed countless civilizations, not to mention they kidnapped Shiro and Katie's family, and they-" "Exactly, "they". You didn't help them do any of that, right?" Lance touched Keith's forehead with his own, drinking in the feel of his soft skin. "N-No but-" "No "buts", you didn't choose to be born part Galra, and you have more than proved you're a paladin." "Allura and Coran hate me," Keith mumbled, trying to find some way to prove that they did indeed hate him. "No they don't, just give them some time to adjust," Keith turned around, pulling Lance's arm around him, "They have to get used to you. None of us hate you, not the smallest bit." Lance waited for Keith to argue but the boy had already fallen asleep. Lance hugged the boy tighter as he copied his steady breaths. "I could never hate you." ------------------------------------------------- Keith gets kidnapped during a simple mission of the paladins. He's tortured and abused for three days, leaving him a damaged mess. The paladins finally find him and bring him home, but Keith is acting strange, stranger than usual. I obviously don't own Voltron. AU! Katie "Pidge" Holt has lost both her father and he brother, leaving her with her unstable mother. She's extremely tom-boyish and intelligent- not the type boys are into. She's close friends with her coworkers, but she refuses to tell them her past. Her world is flipped upside-down by a veteran with a mechanical arm and broken memory... ~ Lol, sucky description really sucks, idk. Anyway, somehow, my life got sucked into a plethora of anime all at once and this one (Voltron: Legendary Defender) is screaming in my head the most as well as Miraculous Ladybug and Hetalia (totally different plotted animes). Anyway, I decided to finally write a fic aboug Pidge and Shiro because I think they are too cute together. I'm still working on shipping other characters. Idk. Anyway, please enjoy. KLANCE BAND After Keith's music producer dropped him so they could focus on different performers, he decided to pursue his other dream and become a dance teacher. His brother Shiro invites one of his good friends to do a dance class with a few other guests. What Keith didn't know was that these "other guests" were actually the band who is the reason he no longer sings. Keith is informed that the band are looking for a new band member but never imagines that he'd be offered a spot in the band (and tricked into joining the band too). On the path if fame, Keith learns more about his new friends and himself. But everyone has their secrets. Everyone had their insecurities. But will Keith and Lance be able to over come their doubts together?
