"You're a complete madman." Emily snaps, trying to yank the ring off to no avail. 

"I'm not any crazier than you are." I stand up, walking over to her. 

"No. No Jackson, do not try and convince yourself, or me for that matter that you are normal." She spits. "Because there is no way in hell I'm going to to ride off in the sunset with you in your delusional fantasy. Take the goddamn ring off, now."

I tower over her, casting a shadow on her face. 

"Sorry darling, afraid I'm not going to do that." She looks startled by my condescending tone. "What I say goes, you've forfeited your input."
